Congregational Advocacy

Congregational advocates strive to be sensitive to spoken and unspoken needs of those who worship and meet with us. We advocate for, and work to enable Westminster to be a barrier-free place where all persons can worship and participate in activities. We have worked to secure evacuation chairs to move persons with limited mobility up or down the stairs, to create wheelchair space in the sanctuary, to check that the Hearing Loop is working properly, to designate additional, underground parking spaces for handicapped persons and/or seniors, and to secure a transport chair for ushers to use in emergencies.

This ministry also celebrates Heritage Sunday annually, honoring all who have been members of Westminster for fifty years or more.

We meet every other month and welcome new members to join us in this ministry.
