Former PCUSA Moderator to Preach at Westminster

Westminster welcomes the Rev. Bruce Reyes-Chow as guest preacher on Sunday, June 30. In 2008, the Rev. Reyes-Chow was elected Moderator of the 218th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which earned him the honor of the youngest Moderator and first Asian-American ever elected.

The Rev. Reyes-Chow is an active speaker and writer on topics of faith, culture, race, and technology. He hosts the podcast, BRC & Friends, and has authored five books most recently, In Defense of Kindness: Why It Matters, How It Changes Our Lives, and How It Can Save the World (Chalice Press, 2021) and Everything Good About God Is True: Choosing Faith (Broadleaf Books, 2024). Strive Bookstore at 901 Nicollet Mall in Minneapolis will host a book signing event with the Rev. Reyes-Chow on Sunday, June 30 at 12:30pm. The Rev. Reyes-Chow will be joined by Matthew Fleming, founder of Church Anew, pastor of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, and author of the forthcoming book The End is the Beginning.

The Rev. Reyes-Chow has been active in local politics and community organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly three decades, and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) since 1995. He is also a Senior Consultant and Coach with Convergence and is a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach.
