Town Hall Forum: Clint Watts

September 25 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

The Town Hall Forum welcomes speakers this fall who will explore such topics as social media, hacking, and fake news; the responsibility of government—both local and national—to safeguard our communities; and the choices and challenges American presidents face in times of war. Music precedes each forum a half hour in advance, and a public reception follows. Forums are free and open to all.

Clint Watts is a former FBI agent with expertise in electronic espionage operations, misinformation campaigns, fake news, and the manipulation of social media. In 2017 and 2018, he testified before four Senate committees on Russia’s information warfare campaign that preceded the 2016 presidential election. Currently, he is a Senior Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and the Center for Cyber and Homeland Security at George Washington University. He is the author of the book Messing with the Enemy.
