On “Minnesota Mondays,” we view video clips and full-length features related to Minnesota history and current events. Join us for exciting stories about our great state and the people who make Minnesota what it is. We’ll reserve time for discussion after the viewing.
Back in 1994, KARE 11 first traveled to southeast Asia to follow the stories of Hmong immigrants on their journeys to Minnesota. Their stories were recently rediscovered in the KARE 11 archives, leading us to wonder, where are they now? In this KARE 11 Classic, we look back on two of Rick Kupchella’s original reports from 1994, as well as his follow-up story from 1999; then Monday at 10 p.m., KARE 11’s Gia Vang catches up on the lives of these Hmong Minnesotans, more than two decades later.
