Values-Based Financial Education
The Westminster Stewardship Ministry Team is partnering with Thrivent Financial to offer two financial education workshops that will help you consider the intersection of your values and the impact of financial decisions throughout your life. All workshops will offer facilitated conversations, current financial information, and food. Workshops will be led by Thrivent’s Katie Welch and Kari Canfield.
Parents, Kids, and Money Matters®
11:45-1 pm | Meisel Room
Who is talking to your kids about money? Movies, advertisers, friends … they can all affect your children’s attitudes about life— and money. Find out how to talk to your children about influences, choices, and responsible money habits. This educational workshop, designed for you and your child(ren) ages 6 to 10, will help you:
- Reflect on the values you want your children to learn.
- Teach your children about values and money and their interaction.
- Learn practical tools to make teaching about money fun.
- Each child will get a fun “save, share, spend” piggy bank to take home.
This workshop includes a light lunch. RSVP by October 3 to Anna Gram at firstname.lastname@example.org.
