Families in Transition: Act as a mentor to a family selected by Episcopal Community Services, meeting as needed to listen and offer support as the family works to better their situation. Each family is on a 6-month contract with an option to renew.
Meals on Wheels
Volunteers are needed Mondays from 11 am-noon to deliver meals. You can sign up for as little as one day per month.
Red Rovers, Greeters, and Ushers should contact Sarah Brouwer.
Memorial Receptions: Volunteers needed to serve coffee and cake during memorial receptions as needed on weekdays and weekends. Contact Vanessa Uzong.
Silver Service Receptions: Coordinator needed to plan, set up and supervise volunteers during occasional silver service receptions on Sundays after the 10:30 a.m. worship service. Although the receptions themselves are occasional, the need for a coordinator is an ongoing commitment. Contact Sarah Brouwer.
Sunday Receptionists and Pew Crew members
Volunteer as a receptionist. Help fill the pew pockets weekly. Contact Vanessa Uzong.
The Westminster Meal Ministry team needs more meal providers! Please join the email list notifying congregants when there is a meal need (new baby, aggrieved family, temporary disability). Adding your name to the list ensures you’ll be invited to prepare and deliver a meal when there is need; cooking for a family is always optional – Bite Squad, gift cards, or simply delivering take-out is always welcome. Get on the meal provider list, please send an email.
Roseville Presbyterian Homes: Organize and participate in a worship service held at the facility one Sunday every other month. Assist residents who wish to attend the service. Contact David Shinn.
Member to Member Care Team: Visit homebound members and those in hospital according to a schedule developed by the Pastoral Care Council. Contact David Shinn.
Social Service Sewing: Participate in the oldest service group at Westminster, still going strong after more than 100 years! Craft prayer shawls, blankets, and other items for those in need, the second Sunday of the month (after worship), or you can work from home. Contact Sarah Brouwer.
