Our new Sunday evening service, Gathered at Five, launches on August 12 at 5 pm in Westminster Hall. We welcome our Westminster community to join us for a “soft start.” These services will help us learn about what it takes to create an entirely new worship experience in a brand new space. We are counting on you to be the “seeds” we need to have this service grow and blossom into a vibrant, welcoming, gathered group of friends, worshipping in the heart of downtown.

The month of July was spent auditioning and hiring musicians for an ensemble that will serve as part of our worship leadership. In addition to our new music director for this service, David Ostenso Moore, we have hired two vocalists and a pianist. Jeff Gram will join us most Sundays on percussion. These musicians will be the heart and soul of our worship, leading in us in congregational singing and introducing us to more non-traditional forms of music.

We seek to make this service welcoming and accessible to all people. Gathered at Five has been a long time in the making, and now we are finally ready to open our doors in new ways, to meet the varying spiritual needs of those in our city. To make this service as inclusive as possible, we need your help not only in attending and creating community, but also to serve as greeters. Please contact Sarah Brouwer if you are interested in being a part of Gathered at Five in a significant way.
