Social Justice

Westminster’s Social Justice Ministry Team encourages and educates members and friends of Westminster and the larger community to work for peace and justice.

The ministry’s work is carried out primarily through the Advocacy Committee and key partners:

  • Downtown Congregations to End Homelessness
  • M.I.C.A.H. (Metropolitan Interfaith Council on Affordable Housing)
  • Joint Religious Legislative Coalition and its Interfaith Coalition for Child Advocacy, which speak to policy issues in the name of its Protestant, Roman Catholic, Jewish and Muslim sponsors

Social Justice Forum
Sundays at 9:15 am | September – May

The Social Justice Ministry also organizes and presents a weekly Social Justice Forum on current and emerging social issues. During the program year, the Forums will explore issues from a local, national, and global perspective, providing opportunities to both learn, be more engaged and volunteer in the pursuits of justice.
