Beyond Sunday Connections invites women of all ages to come together to meet new people and reconnect with old friends while sharing a meal and discussion about the way faith influences our daily lives. Sandy Wolfe Wood is the featured speaker November 14.
Married in the Chapel at Westminster, Sandy served on Session twice, chaired the Social Justice Team for 10 years, and chairs both the Eco-Justice Team and the Criminal Justice Reform Task Force. She also is a member of the Faith-in-Action Council and serves on the Associate Pastor (for Justice and Mission) Nominating Committee. Two years ago, Sandy started a design company called Designing Change, where she works with nonprofits to address issues related to voting, civic engagement, food, and environmental justice. She will talk about her commitment to social justice and literally finding hope in the wilderness.
Beyond Sunday Connections meets at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis. The evening begins at 6 pm with an informal social hour, followed by dinner at 6:45, the speaker’s presentation, and small-table discussion. Reservations and payment ($28) are due by Tuesday, November 7. Register in the Heller Commons or contact Deb Wagner.
